Short update today - busy day for the negotiators. We received an economic offer from the company today, and we've put a counter proposal back across the table to them. We'll have more information posted early tomorrow. Stay tuned!

guys I can't find any info on BCBS essentials online, no plan matches up with the company offer, but there was alot of plans better. Cigna { open access plus} lists very few doctors, maybe 50, and those are spread out from woodbury to springfield. Can we get a list of doctors from both plans before the vote. Is this possible

BC/BS Health Care: This plan could work but needs some desperate fine tuning. The weekly employee premiums are way too high. All co-pays should count toward the deductable and out-of-pocket maximum. The Urgent-Care facilities that subject you to an extra $50 co-pay should have to waive this fee or BC/BS should. With all of these extra premiums, co-pays and other fees, this plan, as it exist now, is not any better than the dreadful existing plan. As for the Cigna insurance, there are alot of family and good specialty doctors that do not accept it. I think you all are doing a great job and I know you will not fall for this maneuver by the company to basically scramble the health care costs around. Hang with 'em! Thanks!

yeah talk about crappy insurance. we got it and will the company do the right thing and give their employees the insurance they deserve at a better price than what we r getting it for right now? And what about this BS spouse rule. Vought cares... lol all they care about is the bottom "0" dollar. I support the committee. Don't back down. We are behind you all the way. HIT THE GATE IN 08. BC/BS IS REALLY A BUNCH OF BS.

I wish I could remember which one in Management said this but I remember being in one of the “All Hands Meetings” when someone in management asked the rhetorical question, “Do you know how much it would cost this company if someone lost an eye?”! That’s right; Safety is listed under the Cost category.

Make no mistake; this company has absolutely no personal concern for anyone. It’s all about crunching numbers and you are just another number to be crunched. All of us are only numbers in the eyes of management.

I am so proud and encouraged to see everyone pulling together. Yes we do have a few stragglers but most of us understand that the only way we can really make a difference is when we stand together. Let’s continue to show our numbers because that is the only thing this company understands.

Well it looks like another attack on our language and seniority.. Have they lost their mind. We as union members have premium pay after 8 hrs because our brothers and sisters of the past stood together on strike to protect our premium pay. We will be no different. The 40 hr work rule is a definate strike issue. Our senority is a definate reason to strike. We also need better wages. Brothers and Sisters the time is now. It is upon us. I support my committee. Stand strong. Hit the gate in 08.
