This is one reason our Local Lodge 735 is so trusted by its members. They look out for each other. This year they will be playing santa for some members young children while Vought hopes to use Christmas to get their way. You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch! This shows who cares for our children.

The sign up sheet is a great plan. I would love to help someone with small children, this is what Christmas is all about. At Christmas we rush around wanting to make it perfect for our childern.Most children had rather you get in the floor and play. Read them a Christmas story because thats what they will remember. My son is 18 and time I shared with him is priceless.

Thanks to all who have brought wood to the lines. This will be a holiday season we will never forget. Keep standing strong. Anyone who crosses now should be ashamed and will receive no mercy from the union.

I found work out of town, but before I go, I need to know how much time I will have to get back to Nashville when we ratify our new contract?

I know I should at least have my 3 days and some personal days but will there be any days in addition to that?

Thank you.

Vought has pulled workers from their locations that was effected by the Boeing strike. The strike lasted 57 days so Vought had 57 days of work ahead by the time the strike ended. Vought will be needing to send those workers back in the next few weeks. They are trying to break us by keeping us out but the table is going to turn on them soon. They don't care about us or our children but they do care about their profits. Once their extra workers go home they will be more willing to treat us with the respect we deserve. God Bless!

Vought reminds me of Ebenezer Scrooge and his shabby treatment of his employee Bob Cratchit before his visit from Ghost of Christmas Past. "Bah! Humbug!"

Thats what makes this union so great it cares so much about each member. This year lets pull together and be Santa for the childern of our Local Lodge 735!

If you cross the line now you are crossing for the wrong reasons. Greed and the thought of not making all that OT money around Christmas shouldn't be a reason to cross. The time will come to make al that up in the future. Now is the time to hang together because this is the time they need you the most. Remember united we bargain , together we BEG.

What was the name of that greedy old banker on "Its a Wonderful Life"? Anyway, thats what we're up against. If Jimmy Stewart was in this Christmas story he would be on our side, the good side.

Cry for the Bad Man

Well he walks so tall to be so small
Never met a man whos stranger
He lives his life for a dollar sign
And to deal with him is dangerous
He knocked me down but Im on my feet
Now Im so much wiser
Id rather quit and go back home
Than to deal with the money miser
Lets cry for this bad man
I sing a song for the bad man

Well, you treat me right baby, Ill treat you right
Thats the way its supposed to be
I put my faith down in my friend
And he almost put an end to me
Well I work seven days a week
Eight when I am able
When you take money from me you take food from my mamas table
Lets cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man

Oh baby you know who you are

Lets cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man

Oh baby straight to you
Hes so bad, so bad

Oh baby you know who you are

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for even though we are out of work. We can all be thankful that we are not like the greedy vought. You can bet that their meal will be a little harder to swallow this year. Just think how much money we saved them by not having to buy us a turkey. They can put that money toward our pension.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving and Christmas. We can all be thankful to God that we have good health, family, freedom, liberty, and can feel secure in our own homes. Pray for our soldiers, pray for our union members, and pray for the company management. Looks like this strike is going to last until next year. Guess we will all be happy when we lose 15,000.00 in wages, get behind on our bills, and get divorced over this strike. Guess we will all be happy when the company goes broke or shuts down. Happy New Year Brothers and Sisters. Hope to see ya'll at work some day.

HOW TO OBSERVE THANKSGIVING

Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Count on God instead of yourself.

What is interesting to me is the ticker on the Vought website that shows how much money has been lost by the 900 strikers in the last 60 days. Have you ever thought about the bonuses the excutives get? I would be willing to bet my annual salary, some of them get bonuses that equal the ticker any day of the week! Look how many families could live off that amount of money and yet they expect us to take less and less. What do you think! Hang in there brothers and sister!

KEEPING THE FAITH!!!

This is in response to Anonymous' statement about "We will all be happy when..."

If the company goes broke over this strike, it’s its own fault. I doubt that’s going to happen though. They might be ruthless but they are way too greedy to let that happen. They might move the contracts to other plants but loose out all together; no, I don’t think so. But hey, who knows, maybe they are just greedy and ruthless enough to be that stupid but my point is, "who cares?"!

They could have offered us a decent contract from the start. That tells me that they didn’t care if we went on strike or not. So I don’t care if they go broke or not. I mean, why should I care; we are not co-dependent! Yeah, we can co-exist and we can enhance each other’s existence but I’m not going to totally freak out because they decide to make some executive decision that doesn’t fit my plan.

For them it was a win-win. They would have loved it if we had bought the sorry contract that they offered. Now that we didn’t, they don’t have to pay us over the holidays. What gets me is how easily they stabbed us in the back by using the profits we earned against us. ! But hey, whatever. I leopard can’t change its spots. The company is simply showing its true colors.

I for one do not place my security in Vought Aircraft Industries. My security is based in my own abilities, experience, motivation, and personal decisions. My life is not rapped up in or determined by Vought. My life is centered around my own thoughts and decisions and if Vought fits in to that, then that’s great. But if Vought doesn’t fit the vision of what I want my life to be then I simply move on to greener pastures.

It’s my life; Vought is only a very small part of how I choose to live it.

People don’t have to be victims of life’s circumstances. In fact, people who believe that they are victims of circumstances are actually victims of their own misconceptions about life. Life is not about physical comforts; it’s about character building. Life’s events are designed to develop character and so if you see yourself as a victim then you will always be a victim. It’s not that you are a victim; you just think you are and so in doing so, you make a victim out of yourself. !

Once you learn that you’re not a victim, then you will no longer be a victim.

When you learn to take life in to your own hands, you will discover a freedom that you never imagined. When you depend on the decisions of others, then you are at their mercy. Some of us see that very clearly.

So I’m happy now, regardless of what Vought does. Really! Remember, Life is a journey, so just enjoy it. You’re not a victim.

Personally, I may come back to Vought for a short time after the strike but I’m sick of them. Going back to Vought with out a reasonable offer would be like drinking vomit. I’m simply going to move on with my life. In fact, I’m out scoping out a new place to live and a new job. From here on out, this strike is just an educational experience for me. The only emotional attachment I have to the outcome is for the friends that I have made while I worked there and the people I can help in years to come through having experienced this.

I hope the union wins a good contract and I’m working to achieve that, but not because I depend on it; it’s because I know that the members depend on it, especially the ones with young families and some with illnesses. …but try to see beyond Vought; there is a life out here, a very wonderful life. The journey of Life is a great adventure!

Did anyone see the AOL spot where a company gave away 6.6 mil to its employees as a bonus?
To bad we don't work for a company that will even consider giving its employees a decent contract.
Happy Holidays!!!
Stay Strong!!!
