'Tis the season

... to help

families in need.

We will be accepting donations Monday at the Union Hall when you come to pick up your Strike checks. Please take this opportunity to make sure everyone is able to enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner this year. Donations will be used to buy Kroger Gift Cards for our members who need a little help to provide a thanksgiving meal for their families.

Your help is deeply appreciated
and we wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.

ok, people. I have discovered something today on the picket line. If you bring a camcorder to the picket line, the ninja squad guards go completely nuts. Best thing of all, that can't do or say anything about other than video tape you video taping them. So I put this challenge out there for everyone. I want to see every gate on every shift with a camcorder. I plan to bring mine every time I'm out there now. Ask me about some of the picket line out-takes I've gotten some time.

We have much to be thankful for this year. Most of us have found out how strong we are and how good it feels to help others during this strike. I am thankful for my LL 735 family. I pray the ghost of Christmas past appears to show Vought how to let go of their greed. The best is yet to come so stand strong!

IAM 735 friends,It has become obvious to me that hatred for unions in general has clouded Voughts ability to look past the name of the organization and look into the hearts and souls of the workers that truely made that company what it is long before Vought. If you really look deep, you will see a history of dedication all the way back to the Avco days which is where I started and before me was a long line of people that supported this company thru many wars! You know who Rosey the Riveter is,guess where she worked! The heritage of that place is long and honorable and was a Union shop then and it will continue to be years from now!As I have said,if any company believes that the people on the floor that build the product is less important than the management of that company, they will fail in the long run!It takes both to be profitable but the day that the company looses it's respect and morales for their workers is nothing more than the creation of an enviroment of hate, distrust and lack of respect for the people that make the decisions and that is a formula for failure in a workforce and a company!I fear at the deepest part of my soul that day has come in Nashville!!From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all of you a SAFE and Happy Holiday !Your OLD friend !

I wonder how the annual Airbus audit will go this year ? Wonder how many findings there will be .I guess the scabs are using those paint sprayers in the areas that do not pass as spray booths. you know the company is all for it, The company does not care if you die from it. We had to fight them tooth and nail to get those sprayers banned in areas except in the paint booth. The company kept lying about the air when those sprayers were being used. Image that the company lying about something as important as your health .

This union is only as strong as the people that make up this union. We need to stand together as one. Our goals are united, from the member looking at retirement, to the member with the lowest hire in date. Anyone who will tell you different is one step above a scab.
A scab is the lowest form of life on this green earth.
Some people are not human, they are defiantly not kind. They may go to church, and set right next to you. But the way they treat their brother and sisters tell what is in their heart.

somebody actually had the nerve to ask me what i have to be thankful for this year since i am out of work....

i told them that i had plenty to be thankful for and it was because of the strike i was finally able to realize it.

for the first time in a long time i have actually had time to spend with my wife and kids. i have actually had the time to help with homework, practice reading, play and be daddy

nothing could ever replace that.
