The latest from Vought...

Today, the company posted a letter that had been sent to Business Representative Chuck Killebrew last week. It was disregarded by the Union, as the offer was effectively taken off the table BY THE UNION MEMBERSHIP ON SEPT. 27TH WHEN THEY VOTED TO REJECT THE COMPANY’S LBFO.

They are welcome to take it off the table, because this membership is in no way ready to accept it.

In order for Vought to end this strike and return to producing product, our members are demanding OUR PENSIONS. We are demanding a contract WITH NO TAKEAWAYS. We are demanding, above all, a fair and equitable contract, which the LBFO was not!

When you get a chance, head down to Briley Parkway, and see “Mr. Carlyle” with his top hat and stogie, his pocket filled with money from trying to steal their employee’s retirement!

i just wanted to say how good it is to hear and see our brothers and sisters fight and win better contracts for themselves. it's good to hear about the support we are getting from across the pond.i looked at boeings new offer for 751 it looks really good. thier pension is AWSOME!!! among other things. they did leave one thing kinda on the table and that is an incentive program. i know it's not that big of a deal and both sides agreed to get something worked out. i don't want our committee leaving anything till later. i want to know when they get up from the table it is DONE. i'm very confident in our committee and know they will do us good. remember our other brothers and sisters across this nation that are fighting for a good life. the ones that aren't in the aerospace field. i remember them giving us support. one last thing some of our fellow members are having to leave thier homes and go out of state to find work. if they haven't left already. some have families, some have children to young to understand why mom or dad has to leave. i ask everyone to remember these people who has to leave their families to bring hom a living. remember they didn't cross. they could have but they have pride and detacation. lets keep up the good fight...

Hey maxie, don't think you are laughing now. What was or how did it go (we don't have the balls to strike) and half of us would be at the credit union needing money that monday after starting strike. Oh yeah, you thought that more than half of us would cross the picket line after a month. 1st week 12 people 2nd week 12 people 3rd week 4 people, and the 4th week (A BIG ZERO). I beleive that comes to about 3% not what you expected!!! BROTHERS AND SISTERS keep on keeping on, I love you all. We are getting the respect we deserve. LOCAL 735 HOORAA!!! I CAN'T HEAR YAAA my bad, we are getting heared!!! Proud of our union.

Hey folks this is voughts way of finally taking that voted down crap of the table. So they can start new negotiations november 12th.
If its more crap we'll simply vote that down! But somtin tells me that wont be the case.

Seems that Vought was still a bit confused about the LABFO being voted down and had to post that they "withdrew" it this week.

Thanks upper crust, now is your chance to shine and rise above your mistakes. I don't believe for a minute that you, yourselves would have accepted that contract if it was offered to you.

There is only hope that this next offer is something that will put the Union members back in and to make the customer quality products that they deserve.

Make no mistake, I am prepared to strike longer, along with my Union brothers and sisters, if another insult of a contract is offered. NO TAKEAWAYS, NO PENSION SPLITS and SHARE the WEALTH!

This Union won't break, we're bonded together now, stronger than ever and know that those few that didn't have any integrity, belong to be in there with you. As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. There was a definite lack of integrity to have offered that last contract, let's see what can be done to rectify this situation.

It disturbs me to think that I thought this company was headed in the right direction after announcing that it would keep the Nashville facility open and thought highly of the workforce.

Seems I was just as wrong as that BAFLO and Gaining Ground program.

some shop floor hillbilly, A.K.A.

What happens if they accept the contract and we all have paid our
Highest cobra we have ever paid in
our lives! I could not believe the cost of this insurance. How
will it be handled if we go back to work and have paid November's
cost?
