yes maxie,
we are UNFORTUNATE that our incidents resulted in injury instead of personal property, you know your real employee's walking the picket line over UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE. i see how tharps SAFTEY FIRST comes into play, oh please the only time this happens is when we scream for it or its convenient for vought to get some kind of award or bonus. i'll be watching your web site to see who got fired for running down the two real employees with injuries not personal property that were walking the picket line. remember maxie safety first

Let's remember gang that the law works BOTH ways (apparently Maxie missed that memo). Actually, as long as we are being peaceful, many laws are on OUR side.

If we are injured, threatened, harassed out on the lines- get an officer. Vought has actually made it easier on us by having them out there.

If there is no police presence, call them and DOCUMENT. Nobody is on that line alone. Get tag numbers, descriptions of events etc.

Heck I have been hit twice by scabs!!!

Vought is nothing but a bunch of HYPOCRITES I was hit by a bus and knocked down the first week, nothing was done I'll bet they burned that tape, The same bus driver plowed into a bunch of folks monday nothing was done this time either so they really don't care about safety so spare me the crap.

I understand that everyone is upset with Vought, we have good reason to be. But if Vought makes us a good contract then when we go back to work lets put this behind us and do our jobs right. We should always take pride in our work and hold our heads high.

yeah that goes to show vought dont give a damn the all worried about the scabs if they was gonna put that out they should of put the safety for everyone strikers and all but they dont care the scabs think they got it good now but just wait vought all mighty will be ready to can yall ass when this is all said and done and thats what your butts get for crossing the damn line they just need yall now what for i have no clue but we shall see!!!!!

Greetings from an IAM 751 member at Boeing.

I wish we had a few of those Giant inflatable rats. You all know how to run a proper picket line for sure.

Why fight? It's all we got left to do. Corperate America has pushed our backs to the wall.

Anyway stay safe out there we're pullin for ya, and:

"Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

Yeah.I for one will be ready to kick some -ss work! But I will not do it for less. The only incentive is more as in an improvement upon what we currently have and its pretty clear to vought what that is!

Are we right to strike with an economy like this?????

Some of the gypsy scabs in our plant, the ones using our tools, working next to our supervisors may have multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) ..or the bad kind of TB for short. We need to remember to take disinfectants when we go back and watch out for supervisors that have "the caugh" or look overly tired. Saftey contact could be for First Aid to test them all.

How many corporate lawyers are also being used Vought? I may worry when I look into my wallet now, but I know that lost money counter on the Vought's web site would be spinning 3 times faster than ours, if you tracked the earnings they're losing.

Everyone has a bad taste in their mouths about this and I'm still going to walk that picket line. I don't have to be angry about it all, when I know that Vought made a bad judgment call that has cost all of us, and yet I'll still walk the picket line. I see my Union brothers and sisters out there on that same picket line.

We want resolve and they want us to break, I hear of the scabs crossing and they still complain. If you don't have integrity scab, then what makes you think you're worth more than us and complaining to us about it? Your personal feelings aren't heartfelt. If you had real feelings you would've cared enough to do the right thing.

Two bit contractors are suppose to make me worry and think? Security guards are patrolling the parking lots, the police drive by and wave at me, they know this company has caused this scene.

Vought are you seeing that you've faded in the public eye? You've made out like bandits and thieves in the night.

Just like management I can get another job and walk away from it all. Being like a rat that's jumping ship.

That's what that rat in front means to me when I think of them. They're not in it for the long term, just a bunch of aircraft pimps that got mad, cause we "the merchandise" wouldn't sell it cheap for them.

Think about that while you're on that picket line folks and while the upper crust feels all safe and secure. They don't have the determination to be out there in the heat, snow and rain. They're not the one's showing their faces to the public everyday.

It's the same with the contractors and the scabs as well. I hold my head high on the Unions side. The rest of you can go to...I think you know the rest.

A company person has admitted to posting on our blog. They are pretending to be one of us. So please if you need to know something call the union hall. Don't believe everything you read on a blog.

Think about it fellas, They have been planning for this for a year, They have spent huge ammounts of money on O.T. to pile up parts around the plant I have seen this myself, They had 200 scabs ready before the weekend was over, They did this ahead of time, They put out a contract they knew we could not take, Put a workforce of 1'st class workers out on the street, now have 400 to 500 scabs working in the plant paying 45 to 60 dollars per hour all this time, and are ready to do this for some time to come, And are mistreating workers who were loyal to the company and have been for years, knowing that this would destroy moral for a long time to come, WHY??? These are not stupid people
they have a plan and intend to get this investment back, I feel that they will do it by running ruffshad
over its workforce they have already proven that they dont care about us, I would suggest that everyone take this time and spend it by looking for another permnant position elsewhere I do not believe after this is over that this company will be fit to work for, I for one am doing just that

Brother and Sisters of local 735

First I want to thank Josey Wales of IAM 751,Kevin Mawai of NFLPA, the players union, IP Buffenbarger, and others like them for their support of our just cause. As it is plain to see, we are growing stronger by the day. This is not 1989. We have had a few union members turn scab, very few. Because like I said this is not 1989,some wounds will never heal. But let it be clear that any union member or free loader that freely chooses to become a scab, will be treated and dealt with like the scum that they have shown to be. We will prevail in this strike, and when we return to work we will deal with the scabs.

Let us stand strong and committed to securing a contract that insures that no union brother or sister is sacrificed.

Fraternally,

UNION STRONG

This may sound like a crazy idea but what the heck......

On Monday October 27th we should all come together for a "safety" rally. Let's line the roads in an orderly fashion with as many as we can possibly get out there. Bring your spouses, friends, if you know members of other unions etc. It is dark in the morning so bring flashlights for safety.

I am suggesting we do this in honor of Jeff Hart, member of LL 733 at Hawker Beechcraft, who was killed during Hawker's recent strike (details found here: http://www.goiam.org/content.cfm?cID=13692)

Thought for the day:When this is all over IF there is any raise or sign on bonus, lets negotiate this into the NEW contract that any of the above goes ONLY to the people that return to work on ratification day ! Now you are going to probably say that this is not allowed but if so then how can the company exclude people in the same company ,under the same contract with 16 yrs. and less. This IS NOT the terms they were hired under for their pension or benifits. The people that went back to work before the contract is settled should live under the original wages and get no sign-on bonus and their pension should be frozen. This would save the company alot of money .Anyone you hire from this point on will be hired under the new contract. What do you think ?

what's going on, no updates on the comments or anything? If you are going to check all the comments, maybe more than one person needs to be doing it so we know what is going on with our fellow union members and with the strike, this is the only way to communicate for some of us.
