WE CAN DO THIS!!!

We can all feel each others stress and anxiety over these events. These are totally normal reactions. We have each other to lean on. NOBODY is in this alone!! At least not on our side of the fence :0)

I know this is all easier said (typed?) than done but believe in it. We are all here for each other. And just like biological brothers & sisters we have our share of disagreements in life but when it comes down to it- we can count on each other.

AND ITS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS THAT SOME COMMENTS ARE VOUGHT IN ORIGIN.
STAND STRONG BEFORE LONG THIS WILL ONLY BE A MEMORY WILE OUR HEADS ARE HELD HIGH!GOD BLESS!SO BE IT!

HANG IN THERE STRIKERS!!!!!

I miss working all my Jobs on G4 & Cessna. When I learned Vought were bringing in Scabs not qualified to do our jobs it makes you wanna think do I really want to work for a company like Vought?? When I was hired in I was drugged tested and made sure I had a High School Diploma,I wonder if any of the scabs were tested or had back ground checks??If we do come back to work we prolly wont have any tools to work with:)
Stay Strong for What We Believe~

Hey everyone!I have read a lot of different comments about the neg. committee "getting back in there". This week is a cooling down period they usually don't do anything this week. Everybody stay strong. we are doin a great job!! Love ya'll!

I wonder how the ones that crossed the pickett line today feel inside because they have stole from ALL the union brothers and sisters. It's one thing to not be a union member but it's really low down to cross that line when they will receive the same benefits acheived by this strike when it's over! The company doesn't care anymore for scabs than they do for union members.Truthfully, they are thought of less by management because they demand NO RESPECT !Stealing is stealing so it's the same as taking money out of our pockets today and if you will steal from us ,you'll steal from the company and they know this !

We are all under a lot of stress and emotions this is our livelihood. We did as the negotiating committee guided us to do.

Everyone one wants to know what it going on. The Union our "brothers and sisters" are keeping us in the dark while some our wondering if they will be able to feed their families next week.

The daily comics provided always bring a smile but I think that it is time to be a little more serious.

There are a lot of new younger employees who do not know the steps to renegotiating (The cool off period and so forth) so could you please post a letter of the chain of events that will have to take place.

Thank You
United We Stand Divided We Beg!

The maintenance workers have seen the sub-contractors come in and do (work ??) for years--that we had to go right behind them and fix the screw-ups they are paid BIG money to do. You have all seen this... having also worked in aircraft(C-130) Ican only imagine the mess they have made up there.BROTHERS,SISTERS STAND UNITED and we WILL see better days ahead,

striker1 said...

Having been arround the industry for severall years I can tell you by experience as having been a contractor(but never crossing any picket lines)as well,If I was to go in there right now Even I wouldnt have a clue as to what to do first and so on.We are dealing with making new products not repairing used aircraft allready in service! What we are doing is a totally different animal and most importantly! Vought if your listening "THE CUSTOMERS DEMAND TOP QUALITY PRODUCTS AND THEY SEE THAT IN THE PRODUCT'S WE PRODUCE.That is why we have the customer demands,THE CONTRACTS... that we do!
WITHOUT US YOU REALLY DO HAVE NOTHING BUT SCRAP!" HOLD YOUR HEADS UP!HIGH! MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS

have anyone seen the new fact checker on the vought web site which explains the "40 hour week rule". It shows how if you worked your Scheduled work days(5x8,4x10,3x12)you would be eligible for overtime. "the communicator" needs to check this out.

I want and hope some salary folks read this with the money the company is paying theses contract SCABS is 3100 a week, per SCAB, if they have their 200 SCABS thats 620,000 a week..... 2.8 million a month. If I were a supervisor I would be insulted and if I was a Vought SCAB I would be just what you are a worthless turd.

I just want to tell the negotiating committee and all the brothers and sisters that are standing strong how proud of each and every one of you. This is the first union I have been in and I fell like it is a family. I also heard that maxie has beem removed from negotioations, that is just what i heard, dont know if it is true or not. also I hear the subcontractors scrapped a wing in g4 and airbus doesnt want any of them touching airbus production from all the mistakes they made in 89. Stand strong brothers and sisters we will come out winners this time!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Okay! Here's my KNOWN FACTS!As I said earlier,I was there in 89 as management and PLEASE believe this isn't 89 because they DO NOT have the experienced management manpower they had then .There might be 10 people in the whole plant that can take their bare hands and do the job that the people that worked for them do.There might be 10-20-30 or so people cross the line before this is over if the majority of you stay calm. The way you do this is get you a side job along with your 150.00 union pay and WALK THE PICKET LINE and button down the hatches at home the best you can and STICK TOGETHER ! LOOK at the ones that cross the line !! In most cases they are some of the worst employees to start with at this company and the contractors are some of the most pitiful machinists in the industry.I know because I've worked them before. Always know that your neg.committee is only as strong as the people they represent. If you are strong ,they are strong!!!!!I hate seeing the pain some of you are feeling because of all the friends I have there but this isn't going to be painless. It's kinda like surgey ,the fear, the pain, the healing and then a better life in the long run ! God Bless !

I am proud of everyone, I heard maxie has been kicked of the negotioations and the subcontractors scraped a wing in g4 and airbus doesnt want them anywhere near our work since they scraped so many parts in 89. Stay strong brothers and sisters we wil win this time!!!!

Brothers and Sisters of LL 735, God is watching over us... WE WILL PREVAIL over the DIRTY RAT BASTARDS called Vought Aircraft, we must continue to be strong during this trying times... Keep the Faith.

Everyone needs to stay strong and stick this out together. There are plenty of people worrying about money and their bills to but still have enough pride to keep walking. We just have to put faith in the neg. committee we all elected. If we all stay strong we will come out ahead if we keep crossing that line we will ALL have to BEG !!!!!!!!

UNION= ONE NOT TWO said...

the company keeps wanting to explain the bafo we have already turned that crap down !!!!! so here i am telling them now keep workin your scabs and when you have had enough we will come back and make vought millions again so fix the insurance ,fix the retirement ,shove that 40hour rule where the sun dont shine !

Anonymous said...

To fact checker! On the contract paper we received on Sept.27 about the 40 HOUR RULE Article VI SEC.C ,the 4x10 shifts, it states that you have to work 10 hrs.a day and 40 hrs. a week before you receive OT pay. So if you work 3 days at 10 hrs. a day and sick on the 4th day , you receive no premium pay !!!Today you receive 33hrs.pay because you receive premium dollars ea. day after 8 hrs. This is a TAKE AWAY !CORRECT ? The 40 hr. rule come about because YOU MANAGEMENT didn't do your JOB ,using the absentee policy you have in affect today and DEAL with the people that abused the existing language SO lets make EVERYBODY pay so you don't have to DO YOUR JOB !!!This OT policy has been there for HOW MANY YEARS ??? What changed ? Management has changed and that's the real problem !!!!!!The NEW management you've brought in is a complete insult and the old ones that are still their are just there until they can retire, so go to the head of the stream and fix managements problem and don't take away from the ones that REALLY build the product that are already under payed to the industry standard including Dallas !

what exactly is the problem with the 40 hour work week rule. Most jobs require it and if was not for alot of people taking advantage of the OT the way it is, maybe they wouldn't be requiring it. You know who are, the ones that lay out, just to show up on qualifing day, so you can quickly make up your time, and work 2x less than you would have because you are coming in on someone else's shift. You know i understand, to some degree, the concerns on the pension, the senority rule, and even the insurance, but complaining about HAVING TO WORK, come on now, you don't get something for nothing, and I am one of those people who gets pissed off watching my co workers lay out 2 or 3 days, and then come in on qualifing day with excuses, shady excuses that is, you know the ones that are so hard to believe for us, you know the supervisors don't by them. So just work and there won't be a problem, if it is an excused absenses there won't be a problem, but for you who take advantage of the system and you know WHO YOU ARE then there will be a problem and sooner that later it will cost you your job because there is so many personal days we have and vacation days u have to use. Bottom line work and there wouldn't be a problem because those of you that don't, YOU WERE THE REASON WE HAD THIS RULE ADDED TO OUR CONTRACT. I would think that that is one thing they will not change when they finally start talking again. This is just my opinion, probably doesn't mean anything to you, but hey I don't care if it does or not, I have my right to my opinion, it

Dear Mr. Vought, I read your fact checker on the 40 hour rule. It sounds to me like you have a few employees abusing the system so you are wanting to punish us all because your lazy supervisors don't want to do their jobs!!! I'm sure this week you will be telling me how good a 401-k will be for me (HA)!!! And I am sure I will be reading how you are doing me a favor by transfering me with no regard to my seniority to another dept.
Well Mr. Vought you can spin it and made it sound as good as you want but sooner or later you need to realize that no matter how hard you try, you just can't polish a terd!! :}

Anonymous said...

I am new here but all along I thought that was how it worked on this 40 hr rule. Then again I havnt had to call out for any reason to find this out either.Based on what ive learned managment does need to do there job to enforce and see to it no one abuses any policies and so on.However I do believe in Absolutely no takeaways!Period!
I dont see this as a strike issue either.Merely an upper managment problem Not ours!

Very well said! Stay strong Union Brother's and Sister's.

I say NO Take Aways. Better Insurance that we a can afford, a good raise we can live on,less time to top out, and a good retirement from the company. That's what I want and I will stand strong for it.

Last night traffic was jammed up on Murfreesboro Rd. As I pulled by I seen Union Brothers, Sisters and Metro holding back the SCABS. Lol....
So now we know where the RAT SCABS are parking, then getting bused in to Vought.
I will be there with my union brothers and sisters, looked like they was having big fun ;.)

We are all good people and good workers. No need in trashing one another. We are in this together. We are on strike for what we need for this day and time. But if we want things to get better we have to stick together and win this and go back to work. Show the company we mean business and stand strong.I don't know what will come out of this anymore than anyone else. But we are here now make the best of it and stand strong for what is right..........God Bless

Hey Vought!!!!!!!

We shot that contract down, got it?

Fact checkers or not, it's over. Time to make a brand new contract and give up on that garbage you presented already. No one wants that big pile of crap you called a contract. We voted and gave you your answer already on that last contract. Do you not understand that? It is already spoken for, a done deal, and it's time to put your money where your mouths are. I do have a suggestion on where to plant those lips too!
