Lets not forget about the insurance for the spouses and the transfers outside of your home dept. If they are bring in salary people from other plants that tells me they have too many salary there also.

From what I have heard from the Brothers and Sisters who were around in "89", it would seem to me that if you haven't learned a lesson from the past, then history will repeat itself. We will be out 13 weeks and go back for less than we were offered to save our jobs. Let's not let that happen, Please!!

Who cares about '89.That means nothing to me and besides that is in the past!
Right now Im willing to stay out even if it mean Vought going under!
In fact that might not be such a bad idea then we could get rid of the insults that running the show and start off with new ones/insults that is. Im all for Vought going under!

There was no work here in 89'. There is work here now and there is more on the way. We have earned that work and we have earned a good contract. This is not the same as 89'. Just get a part time job and hunker down. This will pass and we will be back to work as soon as the company sees that we are not going to back down.

You are right Tim.I have been there 25 years.I was laid off in 89.There was no work.STAND STRONG. WE WILL DO IT TOGETHER AS ONE.

alot different than 89, now we have better communications to translate with each other. computers , cell phones, and we learned alot from our history and will not make the same mistake . we will make it, cause we will all stand together and fight for the right and respect we have earned

The communicator is telling all of you the truth! For those of you that were there in 89 and for those of you that weren't ,this is BIG TIME different than 89 ! I was there!The company hasn't got a prayer surviving this and they know it ! The ONLY ACE UP THEIR SLEEVE is YOU people and their hope and belief that you will get weak and start crossing the line as they did in 89 ! On the 10th to 12th week ,people were calling in the plant wanting to come back to work and management was laughing their ass off because they knew they had won and broke the unions back ! DON'T LET IT HAPPEN THIS TIME !Be honest,sincere and follow the rules of the strike and Don't break the law by harming people or their property because you will be fired and for you it's over anyway and you've accomplished nothing for yourself or family and made your brothers and sisters look bad !Do what you must to survive legally and this will pass and the pride and respect you have for yourself will not have a price tag!God Bless from an OLD FRIEND !

We know that Vought reads these blogs so I have a serious question for you Vought ! If the OLD management team was so undesirable in Nashville that you would treat them the way you did then why is it that you continue to bring a SELECT FEW back all the time with HIGH WAGES and they don't give a S---- whether the job gets done or not because they have nothing to fear from you because they've already made their retirement !There is absolutely no sense to the wasted money you throw away on some of the contractors and then turn around and doing it again in the magnitude you are today BUT YOU WANT TO FREEZE OUR PENSION ! ARE YOU JUST PLAIN STUPID OR WHAT !!!In the last 3 yrs. you have hired some of the worst management people I've ever seen and you know it's true or you wouldn't keep moving and hiding them from their orignal job they were hired for and move them to LEAN etc.You better get your heads out of your rear area and quit blaming or taking out your problems on the people that really do the work OR MAKE ANOTHER SMART DECISION and try to move it to Texas AGAIN and just finish bankrupting the company and NOBODY will have to worry with your sorry decisions no more !

Is there a problem with the funds in our pension plan ? Has this been mismanaged or something worst? Do we need an independent investigation ? I know ours is independent from Dallas's when they bought us and it stands seperate !

I hope Vought's upcoming SEC report does not contain any untrue statement of a material fact or omit to state a material fact which may help a junk bond buyer make a good decision. It seems disclosures as to why management now has their most profitable facilty stuffed with riffraff with no real expectation of reaching any valuable production rate would be a material fact. Maybe SEC requirements will force Vought to disclose their true plans without omission.
